Why Torian Chopper Leather Jackets Are Old Skool

Thermal materials change on a regular basis and it is not cost effective to buy a new jacket every time someone comes out with a new lining material. Motorcycle jackets get broken in and feel good, they become a reliable partner on the road that you want to enjoy for years.

The real deal however is that everyone knows the best way to keep warm or adjust to changing temperatures over the course of a day’s ride is to dress in layers. Whether you are riding a bobber, chopper, bagger or custom it still makes more sense and is definitely more comfortable to dress in layers.

The Liner Issue
I have never met anyone on the road that takes their removable liner off and then puts it back on in the course of a day. I don’t care if it snaps in, zips up or velcros in place it is a cumbersome task at best. Some have sleeves, some don’t but once you have the one designed for your jacket your’ stuck with it no matter what your comfort needs require.

Quality Layers
Consider replacing a thermal lining with a sleeveless “Under Armour” garment (Under Armour is used by professional athletes for cold weather scenarios) and a sweat shirt. You will have a combination that will keep you warmer and will be more comfortable because it won’t bunch up and it will eliminate cold air leeks because the Under Armour is tucked into your pants. When it gets warmer later in the day you just rip the sweat shirt off and wrap it around your handlebars. You will find having a motorcycle jacket without a removable lining that jacket will be used even when you are not riding. It becomes so comfortable and easy to use it just becomes an extension of your personality.
